Armitron made its mark in the 1970s with the launch of its first LED watch, guided by founder Eugen Gluck’s vision and determination. The brand quickly became synonymous with innovation, creating some of the decade’s most sought-after timepieces. By the 1980s, Armitron embraced the digital revolution, becoming the official timekeeper for the Yankees and captivating a generation with inventive designs like the Slinky Watch, Cassette Watch, and the iconic AWatch. This era showcased Armitron’s ability to merge technology and cultural relevance in ways that resonated with the times.

In the 1990s and 2000s, Armitron expanded its influence, securing licensing agreements with beloved characters like Snoopy, Barbie, and Garfield and earning the prestigious Bugsy Licensee of the Year award twice. The brand continued to innovate with accessible luxury designs like the 21-jewel full skeleton automatic watch. In the 2010s, Armitron honored its legacy by reviving the AWatch while embracing modernity with a refreshed logo, new headquarters, and campaigns like #OneWatchManyFaces.

Today, we celebrate 50 years of Armitron, honoring our legacy as your trusted partner in time. With a commitment to quality, innovation, and enduring reliability, we continue to craft timepieces that mark life’s moments. Beyond watches, we’re proud to support charitable partnerships that make a meaningful difference, reflecting our belief: Love Every Second—on your wrist and in the world.

Charity of The Month

In honor of Armitron’s 50th anniversary, we’re proud to support organizations making a meaningful impact. This November, we are especially proud to partner with the Veterans Watchmaker Initiative, the only technical school in the U.S. teaching disabled veterans the intricate craft of watchmaking. Their work revives a time-honored skill and opens doors to new careers. As part of our Love Every Second mission, Armitron is donating 50 watches—a timeless tribute to their precision, perseverance, and service.
